What are people saying about membership?
Membership in the TriFilm Society means different things for people.
Here are some of the things our members are saying about it.
“One of the most amazing things about TriFilm is that it has actually led to tangible paying jobs and career advancement.
For example, I recently attended a filmmaking panel where I made several industry connections, including representatives from a boutique production company. Within weeks, they hired me for project work as a writer/director and the relationship continues to evolve in exciting ways.
Aside from that, I have made many meaningful connections at TriFilm networking events, allowing me to significantly expand my base of colleagues and collaborators.
In a very short time, TriFilm has become an invaluable resource!”
– Fabian Marquez, TriFilm Society Charter Member
Being a member of the TriFilm Society has put me in touch with filmmakers I didn’t know, given me closer contact with filmmakers I already knew, and created a screenwriting group which I attend every month. Camden’s leadership, energy and good cheer is infectious and the potential of the group is amazing.”
– Jim McQuaid, TriFilm Society Charter Member
“TriFilm is a unique organization. There’s nothing quite like it in the area – and after talking to people in the industry who live elsewhere, I realized there’s nothing like it in other places, either. Camden has created an open, nurturing environment for collaboration and support.
I can’t overstate how valuable it is for people who want to connect with others who are making or are interested in making films.”
– Rachel Healy, TriFilm Society Charter Member
“I have been attending TriFilm events since 2009, when we first met at Trailblazer Studios. Over the years, I have met many key collaborators and clients through these events, and have gained great insights about our industry from sharing stories with experienced peers.
TriFilm has evolved into a valuable resource and private network of ambitious filmmakers. It has recaptured my imagination and goals for building a sustainable film industry here in the Triangle.
TriFilm is designing a new standard for serious storytellers and craftspeople to elevate our skills, and to produce the next wave of commercial and artistic films in North Carolina. TriFilm members are committed to encouraging and inspiring each other.”
– Andrew Martin, TriFilm Society Charter Member
Do I have to live in North Carolina to join?
No, you don’t have to live in North Carolina to join the TriFilm Society.
We’re based in the Triangle area of North Carolina, which is how #TriFilm began in 2009. Most of our members are based here but they travel the world for work. We see it as a global film community.
Therefore, we have an online community where we share encouragement, connections, and resources applicable anywhere. Many of the things we discuss are relevant no matter where you live.
Since we host events in North Carolina throughout the year, however, you may want to travel here so you can deepen relationships in real life. We typically share a recap of these events on the blog but there’s nothing like experiencing it in person.
Our number one goal is supporting independent filmmakers.
We want you to feel supported no matter where you live.
